    Default Why Extra Mags?

It seems that so many of you guys carry extra magazines...... why? do you really expect to need to take that many shots? Just help me understand the reasoning.... Just kind of my opinion that if you are in a situation that you would need more than a shot or 2 you are in a situation that you shouldn't have gotten yourself into in the first place.

Sh!t fails at the worst times.. And sometimes you have no choice about the situation you got into, it just happens whether you wanted to be in it or not.

If the firearm you carry has a magazine, then said firearm can have a failure. 9 out of 10 times you need a fresh mag to properly clear a failure.

It's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

I'm not going to go Rambo on someone, but if someone charges me or my family/friends I will use what it takes at that moment. If it requires two 33rnd glock mags than that's what it takes.

    my feeling is "why not?".

kinda falls into the same reasoning behind why most of us carry to begin with.

Ok... an extra mag makes good sense...... but I have seen posts on here where people say that they carry 2,3,4 extra mags. That seems like overkill IMHO. Different strokes for different folks I guess

    Could be overkill.

If your pinned down in the corner of a mall with no way out a two attackers. Eight rounds goes pretty quick in my case (My weapon only holds 8+1)

Alot of companys make dual mag pouches making carrying 3 mags not a problem. 25 > 9 in my case.

I only have two mags however...

As has been stated, 99% of FTF are mag related.......

Even if you only need 2 shots, if your mag fails, your done.......
