What other gear do you carry?

Besides the firearm of course.

I carry a can of OC spray, a tactical flashlight, two spare magazines, a cell phone and a leatherman. The flashlight and leatherman have saved my behind more than once. Never needed the OC spray or firearm. Hope to keep it that way but better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it....

pistola, flashlight, pocket knife, pocket knife, spare mags, small pocket knife, cell phone, keys, finger nail clippers(just in case), lighter, some lottery tickets and i NEVER leave home without a sense of humor , especially in an emergency. but really, this is my list, give or take a knife or two. you never know when or where you may have to cut a seatbelt or get out a splinter or win the lottery or set something on fire.

That's actually why I started carrying a leatherman. Happened upon a car accident once upon a time and we needed to cut the seat belt to get the poor woman out of her car. She wasn't hurt but was really freaking out over the fact that she couldn't get out of the car. Kept screaming that it was going to explode or some such. It never did of course.

Thankfully my buddy had a blade on him and was able to cut her out. I went out and bought a leatherman the next day. The few times that I can't carry it on my person it's always in my car. I also keep a well stocked first aid kit, extra flashlight and fire extinguisher in the car. Better to have them and not need them than need them and not have them.....

happened upon a rolled ford escort once upon a time, had to cut the womans belt to get her out before we uprighted the car. it was icy out that day. all that stuff is whats in my pockets usually, but i also keep my backpack in the truck with all the essentials in it- leatherman and swiss army knife,hatchet under the seat, water-proof matches, pocket saw, socket set, hand warmers,first- aid kit w/rubber gloves/hemostats/tournequettes/gauze, iodine/emergency blanket/ compass, some altoids cuz they're curiously strong...not to mention all my everyday tools in the back. its good to be prepared, but my truck is a mess.

I came across this thing in the Brownells catalog called the 'Cop Tool'. I'd love to add it to my every day carry, it's just so effing expensive. Someday soon, hopefully. There are a few different versions, each more pricey than the next. Looks every bit as handy as a Leatherman, just used for different purposes I suppose.

2 spare mags (or 6 extra rounds in a pouch if I'm carrying my Colt DS), cell phone, keys, mini multitool that I got from Cabela's for $5, a lighter (I don't smoke, but it's nice to be able to make fire if I need to), single blade pocketknife, and I'm even thinking about carrying a small fixed blade that I made (2" or so) on my belt horizontally instead of the folding pocketknife.
