Situational awareness on Valentine's Day
So, I was wondering how you folks kept up the situational awareness on Valentine's Day.
Who watched your six when you looked deep into your date's eyes?
Do you mean to tell me you didn't close your eyes when you kissed? (P.S. Does James Bond?)
Were you constantly looking around, checking exits like doors and windows during the more intimate moments?
This thread is now: telling stories about how you avoided dangerous situations and retained your firearm on Valentine's Day.

Re: Situational awareness on Valentine's Day
I avoid dangerous situations on Valentines day the easy way. Single men have no fear of their girlfriend bringing up marriage and us guys know there's nothing more dangerous than that discussion. Give me a meth head with an uzi anyday.
Please help my Baby Kitties and I avoid being homeless.

Re: Situational awareness on Valentine's Day
One day where it's appropriate to say:
"Yes----That IS a gun in my pocket AND I am also happy to see you!"

Re: Situational awareness on Valentine's Day
My situational awareness was high on valentines day. I was very aware that I felt mildly creepy shopping at Victorias Secret for fun stuff for my wife to wear. Mildly creepy because I had my 2 little girls in tow. Unfortunately for me, they loved how pink the store was. I regained control of the situation by calmly briefing the 2 of them that they may not shop there for 20 more years.

I actually kept more aware and my GF could tell. I kept insisting to her that V-day had a higher chance of some love struck nut going on a shooting rampage in the KOP mall than most other holidays.
