Andrew, put me in as a maybe. I'll be in Maryland shooting sporting clays that day. I'm not driving so I'm not sure when I'll get home. At the very least, I'll stop by to say hello and have a beer.

Will many people be open carrying, or is this a purely social engagement? If it's also a "get out the info!" dinner, I have a question.

I doubt my LTCF will be finished processing before the dinner, and I live in Philadelphia. Could I transport my pistol (unloaded, with ammunition in a separate container of the bag) and then load and open carry it once I leave Philadelphia county (and obviously unload and separate it again for the ride home)? Or do I need to be able to prove that I was transporting it to be worked on/going to the range?

I am pretty sure without a LTCF you cannot transport your pistol unless you are going straight to the gun range and then straight home. So if your LTCF isn't final just come without carrying and meet some people!
