Default Gunvault in the closet or nightstand?

Any thoughts on a whether or not I can keep a Gunvault Mini in the closet rather than the nightstand?
I know there is no right answer, just trying to gather some feedback on other's thoughts regarding quick access. Bedside is just an arm's reach away, closet is 2 strides. I'm not sure I'm comfortable with the delay, however small, in placing it in the closet and am wondering if I'm being overly paranoid.

So, nightstand or closet or wherever it fits/quit over-thinking it mr. paranoia

I voted anywhere it fits. IMO the closer to your side of the bed, the better.

I live in a small apartment the door and the bed are only 20 feet apart. I keep it bedside... Not enough time to do anything else...

Do whatever works for you as long as you have enough time to get to it and its out of the reach of kids.

Doesn't do you any good if you never make it to the closet.

I'm not comfortable unless I can reach it from bed, so nightstand is always my choice - and a laser sight on it so I don't have to aim after just waking up - lol.

The reason you have it in the first place is a factor in your decision as well.

Did you buy it to keep your handgun from being stolen, or to simply keep little fingers off of it?
If it's to keep it out of the hands of curious kids, then keep it on the nightstand, if you are trying to prevent theft, bolt it to the floor in the closet, or just under the side of the bed.

My main reason for having the safe is to keep curious little fingers off of it, secondary would be theft prevention. I'm pretty much inclined to say it should be accessible as quickly as possible, which would be nightstand.

First reach would have to be for my damn glasses, then gun and flashlight. Wife handles phone.

I picked up a laptop computer safe on sale for $30. Bolted it to the wall beside the bed. The electronic lock is easy to open for me even in the dark. And it keeps little fingers out.

I bought a couple of the Homak brand wall gun safes on EBay and am very happy with them. They keep the kids out and open quickly if needed. Mine are in my closets (one in the bedroom and one in the downstairs hallway closet) so 'the real boss' doesn't complain about them messing up her walls.

They are not a true safe - not fireproof, but that's not why I bought them.

Here's a link I just found for them on Amazon:
