Default Question on number of rounds at SGL

If I'm at a SGL range using a handgun, I'm limited to six rounds.

I'd like to practice , and teach my wife, rapid-fire with bogies; when they say six round in the mag, are that talking six regardless of whether they are live or not, or could I load a full mag with a mix of snap-caps and live rounds so long as no more than six are hot rounds?

Inquiring minds want to know, and I'd rather not find out from a bunny cop that I was wrong...

Default Re: Question on number of rounds at SGL

Since snap caps and dummy rounds are not technically “single projectile” rounds, as there is no actual projectile, my guess would be that they do not count in the six round maximum limit per the statutory language.
    58 Pa. Code § 135.181

    Title 58 Pa. Code. Recreation
    Part III. Game Commission
    Chapter 135. Lands and Buildings
    Subchapter J. Shooting Ranges
§ 135.181. Rifle and handgun ranges.

    (c) Exceptions for a handgun range. At a Commission range specifically designated as a handgun range, it is permitted for an individual to load and discharge a handgun containing a maximum of six rounds of single projectile ammunition at any one time. Other rules and regulations pertaining to shooting ranges under Commission ownership, lease or jurisdiction shall be in effect.
