Default Got my Black Hawk Serpa XD-45

Just got my holster on my porch coming home. Damn is this thing NICE. I'm also going to coin a new phrase here. "Belt Independent" This thing can adjust to pretty much ANY belt size. I have it on my "Almost 1.5" " Dickies belt. It comes with the belt loop attachment and an EXTREMELY nice and EXTREMELY secure paddle holster, literally the best I have ever seen. It is also extremely light and fast to draw. It also has some set canting adjustments, with a little modification you can adjust to your own personal cant if you shave away the plastic guider's on it.

When I first put my XD in the holster it had some play to it but after adjusting the retention it has a lot less play and still slides out easily, but not easily enough that if the button is pressed it would pop out. it keeps the gun close to the body as well but not touching so depending on body type it is good for CC, would work for me in a pinch, just untucked my shirt to see. Right now I have the paddle attatchment in and it really keeps the gun secure and stable.

I also keep thinking "I wish I would have had this for that class I took with TonyF" lol.

Yep. I love mine. First question I ask when choosing a new pistol: Can I get a Serpa holster for it?

You guys DO know that a perp can snap that sucker right off your side, right?
(Sorry Marc - had to say it!)

I did take that into consideration, but this was the only non-leather holster that worked well for ME. So far, I have no complaints, although I don't think it's the best choice for concealed carry as I'm sure there are holsters that ride closer to the body. But if you're wearing a "cover" shirt/jacket, it works just fine.

I was thinking of getting one of those Blackhawk holsters for my Glock 20. How are they when you are sitting or driving??

I want to use it while riding my ATV. I like the retention. I'm also thinking that it would better deal with dust, dirt & mud than a leather holster. I could wash it off in the sink.

    Feedback please.

I had to adjust the cant forward so it wouldn't hit the back of the seat.

It was also brought to my attention that if something small(gravel) got into the retention release button, it could jam it. Not a concern for ME, but since you'll be muddin'...

I use the serpas for both my Glock 21 & 23. This is a great and well thought out design. Money well spent for a holster.
