Tinker v. Des Moines style protest in favor of 2nd Amendment

I was reading the following story about a 9 year old boy who got in trouble in NYC for bringing a 2 inch toy gun to school. It was the sort of toy gun that comes with a GI Joe action figure. Nothing that can possibly be mistaken for a real gun.

It gave me an interesting idea with regard to the Tinker v. Des Moines Supreme court decision. That is the decision where the Court found the students were free to wear black armbands in protest of the Vietnam War in favor of freedom of speech.

I propose a national protest against anti-2nd amendment propaganda where people of all ages wear 1 to 2 inch guns on a necklace around their neck. Gold, plastic or any material they choose. The Supreme Court is solidly on our side with regard to this. I would like to see NYC schools try to justify prohibiting them in the face of Tinker v. Des Moines.

Good idea and make it a religous symbol. I mean Shrapnel from a combat zone can't be brought back to the US but a "RELIGIOUS" object can...

Yell ya, I don't wear anything around my neck but I whole heartedly support the idea.

I never wore anything around my neck either. I find it uncomfortable, but I will bear the uncomfort for such a cause. It has special meaning for me as someone originally from NYC and has lived without a 2nd amendment right for 38 years.
