Default any reason to upgrade a Kimber?

    Hey all,

I have a great kimber TLE II that runs like a top, but I half have the desire to have a gunsmith work it over and bring out all it's potential. So I have a few questions...
    1) is it worth it? the gun runs and shoots well, so is it worth messin with?
    2) should I just save the money, sell that beast, and get an Ed Brown instead?
    3) anyone around Berks that does great custom work?

it will be used mostly for IPSC and IDPA (and maybe Steel) events and possibly carried on rare occasions.

Default Re: any reason to upgrade a Kimber?

I'm a 1911 snob and wouldn't think of having one that wasn't tuned(reliably by a quality smith) to bring out all of its true potential. If i'm sacrificing weight, magazine capacity, and in alot of cases overall dimensions I want it to be because i've got the fastest most accurate gun I can get.

    in short-- yes
