Default If you're as tired of all this snow as I am...

...here's a snowman to shoot your handgun at.

Take six shots, one for each eye, mouth, and button.

10 points for each hit, although only the first hit per eye/mouth/button gets the 10 points. After that it's 5 points for a head shot, 3 points for a belly shot, and 1 point for the bottom of the snowman. And only three shots in the head area will count.

    Maximum of 60 points.

I suppose if you're shooting a .45 or something you might get him right between the eyes and hit both of them, but only one eye/mouth/button will count per shot. Won't be a problem for me as I only have a .22.

Distance: 5 yards. At least that's the distance I'll be shooting at, if you want to go longer more power to you!

Default In case you thought I was kidding...

Made it to the range today. Here's my best attempt, the second out of three. A 41. Almost a 48 but not quite. Couldn't help but shoot him between the eyes though, I managed to do that on all three targets.

Now can somebody start up a real competition please?

Great target!! Can I paste pictures of my neighbors who did not shovel on it?

Be my guest... the head is a 2 1/2" circle if that helps you size that photo...

Damn, I looked at this thread a couple weeks ago and then forgot about it. Is the contest over? I noticed there is no end date for it... but I also noticed the snow is gone...

What the hell happened to any interest in the competition? It looks fun to me.

I didn't think anyone took this seriously other than myself. According to the US Naval Observatory, the Vernal Equinox, which signals the end of winter and beginning of spring, is at 1:32pm EDT on March 20th, so how about using that as the deadline?

Of course I would just be happy to see anyone else post a target, no matter when.

And if someone wants to start another competition, there is no need to wait on this one!

A good way to garner support for your competition is to post a description and link to your thread in the last online competition that just ended. I rarely think to check out this section of the forums... but if it is linked in a thread I'm already subscribed to then I'll be much more likely to see it.

Thanks for that idea, I will do that if I think up another one. I'll let someone else take a turn for now though.
