    He blew up the whole forum about a week a ago, much hilarity ensued. All those who were permaband were released, and the seven gates of hell were opened up. They are still trying to clean up the mess. Makes Katrina look like a glass of spilled milk.

    Try to shoot him a PM and if your lucky, he won't delete the whole internet trying to fix it!
    While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

    your rep should return after you crest 50 posts, at least it has for others.

    Hey greg, do you have DB access? let's see if we can run something like
    (pseudoquery)

    Code:
    update users set postcount = '10000' where username = 'Kaos';
    :P

    I wonder if they're finally implementing my plan

    I don't have any rep power (yes, I must be new here), and I am not even sure I have much of anything useful to contribute since I took a 20 year hiatus from firearms. But, that shouldn't mean that I can't have any rep points. I think the mere fact of being here should entitle me to enough rep points to have a decent effect on the boards.

    Furthermore, I can see that a lot of folks here seem to have excessive rep points that they can't actually need for anything. That is way too much power to have over us "little guys." These folks can single-handedly control what happens here, and that's just not fair. It shouldn't be important that they've done so much legwork to become educated and wise in the area of firearms. What's important is to be fair and equitable to all users.

    So, what I think should happen is this: We'll spread the rep points around a little, creating a bailout package from the rep points we'll take from those who possess a wealth of them. We'll distribute those rep points to "little guys" like me who, though they have nothing really useful to contribute to the community, have a strong desire to have lots of rep points.

    In fact, we can even take it one step further. When you give a rep point, instead of having it go directly to the user whose post you are moderating, that point will go directly into a giant rep point repository, and then divided up and distributed automatically in a fair and equitable way to all users of the boards.

    This will require a lot of work, so we'll create a panel of individuals who will be in charge of deciding how to distribute rep points from the repository. This will be hard work and require a lot of sound judgment, so it makes sense that the panel will consist not of those who have been here long enough to form unfair biases and opinions, but rather of those who do not have a lot of experience on the forum, and who will not have any preconceived judgments about people.

    For their hard work, those on the panel will be given a few extra rep points. After all, they are doing more work than the rest of the community, and furthermore their sound judgment will be worth a little extra, so we'll allow them to accumulate a few extra points above everyone else.

    Being probably one of the newest folks here, and therefore having the least possible capacity for bias, I will graciously nominate myself to lead the panel in the beginning. I will do all of the hard work that lies ahead to convene the remainder of the panel. I will hand-pick those to work with me who will share my belief in a fair and equitable system, and I will work tirelessly to continuously purge the panel of those who would seek to introduce any kind of unfair bias.

    It's hard work, I know, but someone must step up to the plate and take on this tiresome, thankless task. My only goal is to improve the community, making it a welcome place for our children and our families. Together, we will bring about the change that is necessary to guarantee success for everyone.

    Muuaahahahahaaaaa
