Smile new guy on the block

    hello everyone
i'm a new guy on this site and just figured i ought to introduce myself.
My name is Evan. I'm 28 yrs old and i like guns... shooting, taking apart& putting together , reloading for and all that good stuff. maybe i can find some helpful info on this site. well, what are the green squares about and the rep stuff? how do i get some green squares? It seems there's alot of talk about zombies around these parts. Its good to see that I'm not the only one ready and waiting for the zombie apocalypse. I think it'll probably be some form of rabies from mexico that starts it. anyways, hi.

Negative reputation no longer exists, but the rest of the info is good.

Hi , neighbor, i'm just down the hill from you, in Paradise township.

Its a wonderful site, i check in everyday to see whts going on around me.

I've been here about 3 years now but havent racked up much reps, i'm a curmudgeon.

The 'Zombie " thing actually originated in the mid-south, and north west in the 80's among skinheads.
    Its a euphemism.

    Nyman

OBTW, where do you shoot? Have you tried out the new facility up at SGL 127?

well, i've lived on the hill here for about a decade, but i'm new to this site. I have some friends that have private ranges so i mainly shoot at those places. I used to go to gouldsboro until the whole terrorist training thing. Besides the fact that when my sis went to the police academy, they watched videos of the terrorists shooting at that range (FBI cameras in the backstops) (seriously), so I stopped going there about a year ago. I haven't been to the new range yet since it was finished. I just figured it would be the same as gouldsboro- trash and targets everywhere, ignorant people who have no common sense about gun safety or courtesy-last time i was there, i brought my sis, but left after having a jammed gun pointed at me by a stranger and somebody loading a weapon and chambering a round while people were changing targets( same group of poeple), constantly tore up- i always brought 2x4s and garbage bags with me to repair target stuff and pick up trash before i actually got to shooting stuff. So on the private ranges I don't have to worry about that stuff. It's more relaxed.

Yeah , i heard the horror stories about the Public Ranges, i havent tried one as yet, i hear that theyre not that Bad during the week.

Usually i just shoot in my backyard, so far rthe neighbors dont complain , as they too shoot on thier property.

I want to trry Sunset hill range during the week.

welcome to the forum. I used to do the same repairs at gouldsboro but one day I just gave up. also because they weren't maintaining the road anymore and my little car just couldn't handle the ride in.

you'll learn a lot here if you ask and listen. enjoy.
