    Default Reising Model 60...pics

    I finally got my H&R Reising back up and running. First time at the range, a few weeks ago, fired 36 rounds and then the firing pin broke. Got a couple new pins, installed one, stashed the other away. Took it to the range and put some rounds through the oldster. Not a bad handling piece and the accuracy was decent - 3" 10 round groups at 25 yards - standing, unsupported with American Eagle 230 gr FMJ. This one is a fairly early production piece, probably mid 1944 with s/n 453. Something around 3500 of this model were produced between 1944 to sometime in 1946.
