Anyone have a concealed carry or act 235 badge?

Might get a badge made for my Act 235 to carry on my belt. Seems like a good idea if I ever had to pull it in a defenseive situation. Anyone else get one made?

if you have a 235 card you can get the badge at most uniform stores. these are mostly for uniform wear and carrying a certified police or agent badge on your belt is gonna make people view you as a dipshit! may also get you arrested if you have to use your sidearm in a defensive shoot!

I honestly think that those concealed carry badges are nothing but a novelty and serve no realtime purpose what so ever. A cop isn't gonna care that you have it if you need to produce your LTCF on lawful demand.

The only use I could see for the Act 235 badge would be while on the job in uniform, but usually working for armored security where you HAVE to be certified prior to employment is good enough, since you wouldn't have the job otherwise, so your certification should be enough.

I don't see any reason to carry a badge, but why would a person be arrested for doing so if they aren't improperly presenting themselves as something they are not?

An upside to the badge is that if you're like me and could pass as a cop, if someone notices your gun, they'll see the badge too and say, "Oh, he's okay" and not call the local enforcers of oppression.

On the other hand, people will see the badge and expect you to intervene in situations where you have no business getting involved.

What's the purpose of the badge? It seems like a really stupid idea, as if presenting a badge is going to make anyone respect you more, or obey your commands as a security officer. If you're trying to pull a badge when you should be pulling OC spray or a gun you're in for some shit. Forget the badge, it's worthless and will likely get you in deeper shit than if you didn't have it in the first place.

People who dont like the idea of people carrying expect someone to flaunt our right to carry instead of being a quiet professional. I would rather not spotlight myself, my gun is for self defense not a political statement.
