    Default A whole bunch of firsts for me....

    First gun pics thread. First pistol. First gun with a capacity of more than 10 rounds. First brand new gun. First gun purchase.

    Today I finally made it to American Sport Shooting to pick up my 9mm XDM. After a communication problem on my part (no fault to Rich at all) I shoveled my truck out of a few inches of snow and followed really bad directions from my GPS (took me 10 miles out of the way) up to A.S.S. this afternoon.

    I walked in mentioned the 9mm XDM and was immediately recognized as Warpt. Lol. Rich went to the back and grabbed the nifty case the XDM comes in and I proceeded to fill out the paperwork.

    10 minutes later I had my copies of the forms and I was walking out the door with my brand new Springfield Armory XDM 9mm.

    AH! You'll never forget your first! I expect that gun to be twice the gun my XD45 is and if it is do yourself a favor and at all costs do not sleep with it... your girl will get jealous you are holding it more than her! ENJOY! and hurry back with a range report-I think that is the next one on my list or will it be the AK 47 or the SKS??? Well it willl be one of those 3

    A virgin! I hope Rich was gentle with you.

    I found both triggers to be terrible to me so the triggers are on a scale to me.. The Glock was a crisper suck and the XD was a more mushy suck. They are in the same family, SR9 (heavy suck), Glock (crisp heavy suck), XD( lighter mushy suck), M&P(heavy mushy suck).

    Because I have nice family members that have gifted me all of my other guns for birthdays, Christmas and graduation. That and a combination of bad luck, bad timing and crappy paying jobs.
