    On your kitchen table.
You aren't married, you should be able to get away with it.
(I've been married for 31 years and I can get away with it, you shouldn't have any problems at all).

Before you use the table, remember he IS the only guy at his gun club with the wrong color jacket.

you can stain that bad boy yourself. why pay to haveit done, when you can have all the fun yourself? just remember, when you're staining wood, it takes a couple of passes to get a good, rich tone to the wood, depending on the wood itelf. hardwoods require a little more work, but look better when they're done. also, some light sanding between stains helps make sure it comes out even.

are you going to lacquer it as well? if you do, make sure you thin it out a little first, so it doesn't dry too glossy.

    Hey now!!!
Alan, Derek, Zack and Mike have blue jackets too.
Now that I think of it there may be more blue jackets than green.
I am the only one who drives a 20+ year old car as my primary transportation, and probably the only one who carries .22LR handguns. (Private joke, ask Fr0sty about that one).

Seriously now, how dark do you want it stained? I have several shades to choose from and I don't mind sharing, no need for you to buy a can of stain. Finish is cheap and fairly easy too.
Are you coming out to the meeting tomorrow night?
How about the fish fry? If nijwnfi didn't invite you and your dad already, I'm inviting you now.
Bring the gun along to either event and we'll look at it to see what you need.

    Staining is pretty simple.

    1. Sand with 300 Grit paper.
    2. Sand with 600 Grit paper.
    3. Go to Lowes and grab a can of stain. Color : American Cherry
    4. Get a sponge or an old clean rag, and then apply.
    5. Reapply until satisfied with color.

If your at the meeting on Sunday I'll try to remember to bring one of my old stained stocks. This will give you an idea of the color I chose .
Below was an old dragunov style stock I had for a while. The color of that stain is American Cherry. That stock could be for sale if you're interested in buying it .

    What's that supposed to mean?
I've never even come close to hitting you or one of your vehicles.
(BTW, I can't see to drive with my glasses on).

Speaking of "could be for sale".....
I'll have that RCBS press with me at the meeting, you bring your outgrown reloading equipment and we'll make a deal.
