Sounds like you need a bigger shovel... and something to push it. Thought about a plow for a truck or quad?

While the easiest thing would be to contract someone with a plow, I'm not sure what the going rate is nor do I know how reliable these service providers are.
It would minimize YOUR time considerably. You would have to specify WHEN you expect them to perform and at what intervals (all dependant on when and how much snow you get).

This is another option but YOUR time is tied up. Up to about a foot of snow, you could probably clear it in around a half hour with one of these:



I'm not sure what an 8 HP blower goes for these days but I've had mine for 10 or 12 years and have never had it to a shop. I did replace one pull cord but it has an option of having an electric start (which I use all the time).

It would have to be a paved drive for a snowblower. I've run over gravel and broken a shear pin already. 4 or 5 passes should clear a car width dependant on how wide a unit you got.

i'd go for a very high quality snow blower or plow on a quad myself. It'll be more to start off, but having someone come in and do it will add up quick.

My driveway is about 1/4 of a mile long and i use a quad/plow.
