I was just talking to a buddy about wolf in his AR since I found good prices, he shoots it, the only problem he's had was shooting at -5 degrees it wouldn't blow back hard enough on the bolt.

No. The casing does not touch the barrel only the chamber. The bullets are copper jacketed same as other FMJ. Wolf now uses a polymer coating on the bullets so the old concern of laquer residue is gone. The steel case does require Wolf to be loaded light. I have only noticed this during break-in periods for new equipment.

No, and it won't damage any other parts of your gun either. If the mild steel used in the cases in any way effects the hardened steel parts used in the gun, the gun part was defective to begin with.

one problem that has been reported is that the steel case doesnt expand when the bullet is fired, that causes alittle gas/powder residue in the chamber, This becomes a problem people say when you shoot wolf and then goto brass in the same range session the brass case expands when fired picks up the let over residue and jams the case in the chamber

you can see a report here

personally i have shot thousands of rounds of wolf with no ill effects

Thank you for the answer of the steel not expanding. When I said barrels I was meaning the chamber and the barrel.
