    Default Maryland trying to ban ownership of "assault weapons"

    I can't believe that I'm the first to post this but I searched the forum for Maryland SB 516 & nothing came up, then I browsed the national politics section & didn't see it... So here ya go:

    Synopsis:
    Designating specified firearms as assault weapons; prohibiting with specified exceptions a person from transporting an assault weapon into the State or possessing, selling, offering to sell, transferring, or receiving an assault weapon; requiring the Handgun Roster Board to compile and maintain a roster of prohibited assault weapons; etc.

    Apparently whatever specific firearems they decide to designate as such according to the first 6 words of their synopsis of the bill.

    (11) Bushmaster semi-auto rifle
    (12) Calico models M-100 and M-900
    (13) CIS SR 88 type semi-auto
    (14) Claridge HI TEC C-9 carbines
    (15) Colt AR-15, CAR-15, and all imitations except Colt AR-15 Sporter H-BAR rifle
    (16) Daewoo MAX 1 and MAX 2, aka AR 100, 110C, K-1, and K-2
    (17) Dragunov Chinese made semi-auto
    (18) Famas semi-auto (.223 caliber)
    (19) Feather AT-9 semi-auto
    (20) FN LAR and FN FAL assault rifle
    (21) FNC semi-auto type carbine

    But seriously we need to do everything we can to get this bill shot down!!!!!!!!
