Re: Kel-tec p11
A very good buy for the money. Light high capacity and a good warranty. They have VERY long heavy trigger, and I would try it out if you can before buying.
I found both triggers to be terrible to me so the triggers are on a scale to me.. The Glock was a crisper suck and the XD was a more mushy suck. They are in the same family, SR9 (heavy suck), Glock (crisp heavy suck), XD( lighter mushy suck), M&P(heavy mushy suck).

Re: Kel-tec p11
Love mine, I was fortunate enough to get a nice trigger mod from the KTOG site before the guy went up in flames. Originally it was an adjustable trigger which worked well then he came up with new lighter hammer springs which I have in there now and it's sweet and smooth.
This was the adjustable trigger
and the results: and that's shooting as fast as I can at 7 yards.

Re: Kel-tec p11
Not mine. The trigger on my P-11 is just awful. It's way heavier than any DA revolver I've tried, and it stacks horribly. I stopped carrying it until I can afford to get it worked over by a 'smith. I've fired other examples that were better though, so maybe I just got a bad one.
ETA:Other than the nasty trigger on my P-11, I think they're great guns. If you can, try before you buy.Last edited by unloved; February 3rd, 2010 at 10:33 AM.

I'd pass on the P-11 if I were you, ruttinbuck. I bought one years ago and found it to be less durable and reliable than it should be.
You can never have enough horsepower or ammunition.

Last time i checked, there are a few for sale in the classified section. Mabey you can meet up with a member who is selling one, and get to try it, before you buy it.

Have one. Like it. Carry it when deep conceal is needed. Otherwise it stands guard in my "money" safe at home.
"Sure, I'll open that safe and give you my money......... hey, look what I found!"

Re: Kel-tec p11
Both myself, and my brother carry p-11s. Mine is a little older than his, but I only had one problem with it, the first time I shot it (bought it used) the extractor broke in half.
I called kel tec up and they sent me everything I needed, plus a new spring and guide rod, completely free. I installed the extractor and I've never had a problem since.
The gun eats everything I've feed it and it pretty accurate considering price and that trigger. I don't mind the trigger as much as I used to, but shooting more than 100 rounds at a time makes for a sore trigger finger.
Are you looking to buy new, or used?
