Default PA resident selling a pistol to a MD resident

Any tricks to this, simple FFL face to face in MD, or is it a PITA shipping from a Penn FFL to a MD FFL?

    Thanks
    Jolly

FTF in MD @ FFL works. Its just unweildly. Just be sure to abide by MD transportation regs:

    1. Unloaded
    2. Mag removed
    3. Transported in vehicle trunk (recommend a gun case). Cannot be accessible from passenger compartment.
    4. FFL will have to maintain possession of handgun throughout the 7 day waiting period. If the buyer fails the background check then it will really get messy getting your gun back. He would have to ship it to a PA FFL.
    5. Call the FFL first to make arraingements and have him make sure that pistol is not on MD's banned list or of newer manufacture. They have a fired casing registration there for those made after a certain date.

I'm not sure I'd even do it unless it was a C&R. Easier to ship it and hope he passes his background check.

I'm not a lawyer so take this as presented.

Exactly what I thought, a PITA.

Only for the buyer, and they are used to it. I've done it several times, no hassle on my end.

I'm glad I live one mile north of the M/D line instead of one mile south.
I carry a gun cause a cop is too heavy. Hippie and 3%er.

Yea, I heard that. I am so glad when I moved here 5yrs ago i made the decision to live in PA. The Peoples Republic of Maryland has too many rules and restictions.
