is it common for a barrel on a enfield to look warped. i have one from 1916 i just dug out to restore; looking at it and various pics online it appears they are bent down or am i just seeing things.

Warped from an overall viewpoint or have you taken it apart down to the barrel? Could always find a square or a level to check if everything is in line.

I'd say it would be rather uncommon for a barrel to warp, unless it was intentionally/unintentionally bent, somehow.

Im an owner of many SMLE's......they do look funny when there sporterized, however send me picture and tell ya what i think
