    Default .45 ACP glock problems?

Was at Cabela's today and in the used case there were tons of used Glocks in .45 caliber. I think they were mostly Glock 21s. There were maybe 2 or 3 Glocks that were in .40 or 9mm.

Almost half the case was .45 ACP Glocks. I had been thinking about getting a Glock eventually and was debating 9mm and .45, but after seeing all those .45 glocks in the case, I have to wonder about that decision.

Was there some issue with these models?

Have not heard of any issues with the G21....Just must had a lot in stock...id imagine the 9's were the first to go then 40's then .45's..

G21 is a big frame gun/glock compared to many of the other calibers and models...not a great carry gun but an awesome beside gun G21 SF...

Im guessing that is why they are there and others are not, people trading in for a smaller compact gun
    Its a glock man!

    This.

If you noticed, they are all used. And the prices are rather high, as with most used guns at Cabela's.

My first guess would be police trade-ins, although I don't know of many departments issuing .45 due to the cost of ammo and lower capacity.

If not police trade in's, consider that there are a lot of people trading in range-only or safe-queen handguns in order to fund purchases of items they feel they need more like EBR's, ammo and higher-cap pistols. Ammo shortages have reinforced my caliber consolidations as well- if you own 3 9mm's, 3 .40's and 1 .45 you may opt to sell the odd man to better focus your stockpiling.

Good point! I really like glock in .45, but I can see where building up a "reasonable" ammo supply in a new caliber today can be tough. Maybe 13 round magazines are no longer considered "big" enough? It's almost funny how much heavier a box of .45acp is compared to the other smaller calibers I have!
    ...and they have a plan...

I was there this passed mon they're prices are really high on the police trade ins and they're beat up .priced at 449 and up if I recall most if not all were glock 21s.
They had .45 ammo but they were all denfensive ammo priced high.
They were not really busy too .
I was there to make a transfer ,they've beefed up the process of buying a handgun .
3 hours to complete the transfer .
They had plenty of sigs though in 9mm and 40 .
