That's a tough question to answer without knowing what you're looking for. Do you want a full size, a compact, a subcompact, or a specific caliber?

They are basically all the same aside from size and caliber as Agent Smith mentioned.

What are your needs? What role is it going to play? Are you going to carry it? Home defense? Both? Are you a big person (that doesn't mind carrying a larger gun?) or a small person that has problems carrying anything but a smaller gun?

What you plan on using it for will make all the difference.

Take a trip to a few gun shops and see what price you are willing to pay for the ammo, and the availablity of the calibers you are even considering.

The best Glock would be the 1911A1. Oh wait a sec. . .. Glock doesn't make a 1911A1. Never mind.

As mentioned before, I'm not sure what your needs are, but IMHO, I think the Glock 19 is one of the best all around pistols available. Just my .02
Now less Glock, more H&K :)

When ammo prices went up I decided I wanted a 9mm pistol. After avoiding Glocks for years I decided to try them. Tried the 19 and the 26?. Didn`t care for the 26 unless I used a grip extension, loved the 19 so I bought one. Light, not too small yet not too big.

I would suggest that you head out to a shop and fondle some of them. The caliber would also be a consideration.
