Re: Like minded people
I got my SKS for $250 with a synthetic stock and a bunch of extras. Apparently I got a really good deal on it because the sales guy had to get the owners approval to sell it at that price (I won an auction on gunbroker). I know Tanners in Jamison has a few in the $250 range that have the wood stocks and are a bit beat up.

Re: Like minded people
Tanners looks great. I have only been to quinbys in dunbar. they seem very nice but been there twice and kind of overwhelming with so many people in there just hanging out BSing. I bought some ammo and had a few questions which they were very helpful, but I almost felt like I was interupting the conversations trying to buy things lol

Re: Like minded people
yes i just picked up some ammo as well from quinby's. it's in Dublin by the way. There prices seemed decent on a few rifles i looked at. I went there cause they had the cheapest price for 7.62x39 ammo around in montgomery or bucks county by the box anyway.

Re: Like minded people
I live in Sellersville and shoot at Ridge and Valley. I am laid up for a few more weeks but will be good to go soon.
I have been thinking of joining Branch Valley for the convenience.Guns are dangerous, but no guns is more dangerous.

Re: Like minded people
one other place you might consider is great swamp f&g located between Perkasie and Richlandtown .... closer than ridge and valley and only maybe 5 mins or so from branch valley. (i don't hink branch is accepting new members)
pretty cheap club and pretty nice
http://www.greatswampfishandgame.com/index.php
main focus of the club is fishing, as they have 4 stocked ponds and a stream.
3d archey shoots and bingo also.
however they have a rifle range and a new pistol range.
1 lane - 100 yrd shelter, and 50 and 25 yrd benches
separate lane for pistol -should be complete in 1 week or so.
nicest thing about it, is i never have had to wait.
i avoid the few weeks before hunting season starts, but other than that, never have had to wait, or hurry up because others are waiting ...
i have been a member for almost 20 years now ... came for the fishing, and now enjoy the shooting when the fish are gone
simple rules
pretty fair, imo
just no guests.
