    Default The ultimate SBS

    Canadian style!

As crappy as Canadian gun laws are, there are some good things about them.

I know this is taking the idea of an SBS a little too far (6.5" barrel, lol), but why not?

And just as a side note, this shotgun is classified in exactly the same way as any other shotgun (e.g. a Winchester model 12 with a 30" bbl). Due to the way our laws are written, there is no minimum barrel length for manual action rifles and shotguns (for semis, it's 18.5"), just an overall length restriction of 26".

Oh, and it doubles as a flamethrower.

Oh, and fyi, the shotgun shown isn't mine, the pics/info are from a thread on canadiangunnutz.com

Thats pretty crazy. Very nice flame thrower

It's funny that whether it's manual or not dictates the length of the barrel. Normal political logic I guess.

These are magazine fed 870 clones made by Dominion arms, so unfortunately there is no conversion kit available (that I know of). This shotgun was shortened by replacing the original barrel with a 6.5" barrel and swapping out the stock and a few other bits and pieces. The conversions are done by the Canadian company Dlask Arms. AFAIK, the original one posted is the only one currently in existence (prototype). (As mentioned, I didn't make the shotgun... unfortunately )

As for specs, it's an 870 clone with a detachable 5 round magazine and 6.5" barrel. Total length is slightly over 26".

^^^These are currently available commercially here, same idea, but just too long.
