Got a gift from Dad
My Dad had triple bypass last week, and now he's home from the hospital. I have been helping him and my Mom out. Bring them meals running to the store for them etc. Anyways I was setting with him on Friday just talking. He thanked me for every thing I was doing for him and my Mom. He pulled out his double barrel shotgun that I always liked. He told me I want you to have this.
Anyways here's some pics & info about it
These shotguns are made for IAR, Inc. for the discriminating Cowboy Shooter and Collector. This 12-gauge double barrel shotgun with its outside cocking hammers evokes images of the Old West. The barrel length is 20", like that of the shotguns carried by stagecoach guards in the Old West.

Re: Got a gift from Dad
That is a fine looking shotgun. Hope your dad is doing well. I dont live too far from you, maybe we can meet up and do some shooting sometime. I belong to Southern Clinton County Sportsmens but have been looking for someplace a little better for shooting pistols.

Re: Got a gift from Dad
I am so happy your Dad is on the mend. This is a gift you will cherish even if it never leaves the honored place you find for it in your home.
Remember this feeling of love and gratitude you have received from this simple gift and pass it on when the time is right.
ENJOY!

The sentimental value of that gun is more than even Obama could spend. Congrats on the great gift and your relationship with your father.

Re: Got a gift from Dad
Yea anytime you want to meet let me know. I had a app for the clinton county sportsmens but never got around to filling it out. As far as a good place to shoot I got nothing. Just some old logging roads.
Thanks for the kind words for my Dad every one. He is doing very well just very sore.
That and this has been a wake up call for me to lose wight and eat better.
