Default Radnor Township Considering Mandatory Reporting of Lost or Stolen Firearms Could be C

I got an email from the NRA. Our favorite group, CeaseFirePA gave testimony for the legislation. Please, all of you in Radnor Township and the Radnor area please fight this. I am copy and pasting the NRA email into this thread.

Remember! This legislation is ILLEGAL! It violates PA state preemption laws.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mandatory Reporting of Lost or Stolen Firearms
Could be Coming to Radnor Township!
Please Stand Up and Make Your Voice Heard!

The Radnor Township Board of Commissioners may consider legislation at their next meeting that would require gun-owners to report lost or stolen firearms or face fines and possible imprisonment. CeasefirePA presented testimony supporting such legislation at the board’s most recent meeting.

This proposal not only violates Pennsylvania’s state preemption laws, but also turns law-abiding gun owners -- who have already been victimized by theft -- into criminals.

The next meeting of the Radnor Township Board of Commissioners is scheduled for Monday, February 8 at 7:00 p.m. It will be held at the Township Municipal Building located at 301 Iven Avenue in Wayne. Please make plans to attend this hearing and show your support for the Second Amendment.

Also, please contact the members of the Radnor Township Board of Commissioners TODAY and respectfully voice your opposition to this unwarranted, unjust and illegal proposal. Contact information can be found below.

The NRA didn't include the other part in their email blast that Kim Stolfer sent to alert them about what is going on in Radnor Township.

ON Jan 25 ceasefirePA made a L&S presentation listed on agenda DD

Jan 25, 2010 ceasefirePA did their L&S presentation watch video here.

Notice the total absence of hundred of gun owners in opposition in video, so why does anyone think this is going to stop?

Please watch the part in the video about L&S it about 20 minutes long.

Lots of lies, misrepresentations and distortions of the facts, IF you do some research on the people testifying you find they are directly related to the anti-gun people but don't represent themselves "officially" that way. Political connected people placed into power positions to serve agendas like this.

You need to understand the other sides tactics and slick maneuvers to counter them with facts.

What time in the video does the L&S discussion start?

I can only view it in Internet Explorer, and if I seek at all I lose the audio.

    IMPORTANT: Please help!!!

I have made email contact with several comissioners. They state that:

"The attorneys who presented information to us at the last meeting indicated that the law has already been enacted in what I recall to be a dozen or so municipalities and in Philadelphia and that it has not yet been challenged because in their opinion it is consistent with state law. Do you know of specific challenges?"

SO, arm me with info folks, I got my foot in the door. Help me craft my response! Locally if possible, PA examples for sure. Thanks!

Well , the UFA makes it quite clear in plain text that it is NOT consistent with State Law. Philly and Pittsburgh may have enacted them, but they were BOTH challenged by the NRA. The Court in BOTH cases DID NOT rule that the lost and stolen ordinances were legal. They ONLY ruled that the NRA itself "did not have standing to bring suit or challenge the ordinance because they hadnt been "harmed " . IIRC, the Courts DID leave open that IF someone that actually had been harmed and came forward to challenge, then that would be a different story.

IMPORTANT !!!! Nancy Lamason of Radnor and CeaseFire PA Vice President...................... What connections, if any does Ms Lamason have to Radnor Commissioners ? Potential conflict of interest ?

See my thread here http://forum.pafoa.org/pennsylvania-...ml#post1074937 for more on CeaseFire PA and potential strategies to stop them.
