Quick Question About Lending

So my buddy is getting his LTCF sometime in April, and I still won't be quite old enough yet. For Spring Gobbler I was wondering if I could give him my pistol to transport to wherever we are hunting, then when we get out I could just open carry it. Is this legal?

you can lend a firearm to anyone in pa that has valid LTCF.

That would be legal. But if you're 18yo you can get a Sportsmans Permit which will allow you to transport it to/from hunting, and conceal during hunting. They are only a few dollars($7+/-), are issued over the counter at the County Treasurer's office, but you need to have your Hunting/Fishing license with you for issuance.
