Performance center .41 mag hunter
These were special ordered by RSR distributors to their spec and made by s&w performance center for them. Match grade slab barrels, 3 point lockup, magna ported and cylinders (at least on mine) numbered.
They all have RSR in the serial number also.
Had my gun enabler special order this one for me and when he ordered he ordered 12 which was all RSR had left. At the time sugguested retail was @1200.00 and since he made such a large order I think paid $875 each for the two with consecutive serial number I bought.
I took this little jewel with me on a hunt in Tennesse for wild boar and was offered more than double what I paid for her---but had to turn the money down. I got a 375 pound boar with it (used the 265 grain hard cast loading) and two other hunters used it to take pigs.

Grizz,
you are the man when it comes to revolvers...I don't believe there is another person on this forum that comes close to what you know or own in terms of revolvers. That is a very nice piece....is there a pistols scope that you prefer? I'm thinking of a Burris.

My Dad has a .41 mag S&W revolver with 6" barrel. I don't remember what model it is but that thing is the sweetest shooting pistol that I've shot. Plenty of power too. Very nice...

LorDiego01:
Thanks
Nice picture of da man Dirty Harry with his .44 Mag.
But all I can say is Harry has got to get caught up with current times. Here's a picture of Harry's world's most powerful handgun the .44 Mag (Pre Model 29 of course) along with today's heavy weight champ the "POWERFUL 500"
And being "DA MAN" here Harry on the phone with Smith & Wesson.

just a an interesting side note in gun trivai history....in the first Dirty Harry movie the gun used was a Model 57 in 41 magnum with the 6.5" barrel, they didn't yet offer a model in 44 mag of that size.
Since most folks cant tell the difference between 41 and 44 in a movie shot, no biggie.
I bought a SW Mod 29-2, pined and recessed just to have the dirty harry gun:-) I saved the target grips, but like the hogues for regular shooting
me likums SW revolvers, below are my primary revolvers for fun shooting, and defense:
top: SW396 Mountain Lite, in 44 spl
Middle: SW 627-5 Performace Center 8 shot(accurate like rifle too)
Bottom: Plain jane 686 Plus, 7 shot 357 mag

Jay,
you have the most impressive collection that I've seen...and I have this feeling none of us have seen your entire collection.

I've never considered the 686 (or 586, for that matter) to be "plain jane," myself. I've always liked them. But man, that 627 in the center is a really handsome object. It has a real "veteran special agent working a case in futuristic, anime Tokyo" kind of vibe about it. Or perhaps that's just me? Either way, nice collection there.
