A shopping we will go....
Laid off for lack of work, (construction off season) sitting around bored. TIME FOR GUN SHOPPING!!!!!!!
My brother, who is recovering from oral surgery, and I are hitting the shops tomorrow.. Never been to Gorenflo's, might start there, head out to Bob's, then Edinboro Outdoors, and over to Corry to Cunninghams. Anybody want to suggest any place else?

How far are you willing to travel? Mauer's Trading Post in Franklin has a lot of nice guns...

Re: A shopping we will go....
Unfortunately, Cummings in Corry, (Columbus) is closed on Wednesday, so we headed for Spartansburg, only open Saturdays until Feb!!
Stopped at a small shop in Union City, not many firearms, mostly fishing and archery, so off to Edinboro, fondled a few guns, pondered which way to go?????
Then Bob's, where channel 24 was doing an interview, seen at 6 & 11. Fondled and pondered some more.
Headed for Gorenflo's, lots of ammo and gear, only 2, .40 pistols.
Hit Gander Mountain next, lots of display, ran into a sales guy that used to work at HomeDepot, where I deliver from, and the manager who is also an ex HomeDepoter. I told him his prices were too high, he said they'll price match.
Franklin is on tap for our next trip to Grices, in Clearfield.
I wasn't sure Her Gun Shop was still open. We tried them once and the door was locked and looked empty.
I was looking for a subcompact for CC. Bob suggested the Glock23 which fits the hand better than a sub. He didn't have the SA XD sub.

Having a Glock 27 and much trigger time on a 23, I will say this. The 23 is a MUCH better fit for my orangutan hands. I am big and could probably conceal a Howitzer with no problem. That being said, my 27 is currently strapped to my belt.

Ooops, forgot. Her has weird hours last time I checked. If the Chevy Malibu is parked out front with the "I Love my AK-47" bumper sticker, then they are open.

Re: A shopping we will go....
Hi Everyone:
Upon relocating to Erie County. I would like to get a revolver for Conceal Carry and Home Defense once I get my CCW permit.
Here is what I am looking for, the Ruger SP101 six(6) shot chambered in either .327 Federal or .357 Magnum. Both with and without Laser Grips, if possible. Also, can anything other than a .327 be used in a firearm that is chambered in .327?
Where are the best prices on firearms in Crawford or Erie County? Is any one place cheaper then another? Is there any place that I should stay away from all together?
Thank you for your time, consideration, and cooperation. I hope to hear from you soon,
David

Re: A shopping we will go....
You can use .32 H&R Mag and .32 LC in a .327 SP101. Most shops will be a lot cheaper than most of the sporting goods/outdoor stores. GM being the worst although they will price match. For those that don't, they get raped. Erie Sport Store isn't as bad but they are still high. Those two stores have the biggest selections so I browse at them and have Bob's GS order what I want if he doesn't have it in stock. I've found Bob's to be competitively priced and usually beats the other local shops. He's also a pretty good 'smith with very reasonable prices.
