    Default Ruger GP100

I am thinking about putting my Ruger GP100 up for sale but don't have the slightest idea what these things are worth. Maybe some of you have more knowledge then I do. If so then please send me a pm.
This is the GP100 in question.

    Thanks,

    Ron

A good idea for valuation is to check a few places online. For example, there have been a number for sale here in the classifieds section of this forum (check the archives) and there will be prices in there.

    You can also check:
    www.gunbroker.com
    www.auctionarms.com
    www.gunsamerica.com

Just enter in the model number of what you are looking for and browse all you want.

I recently sold my 4 inch GP100 for $350. A new one costs about $500, so I don't think I could have gotten much more.

A little over a year ago I got a bug up my a$$ that I wanted one in stainless with 4 in bbl, so I looked & looked & while blued were available, I couldn't find a used one in stainless 4 inch anywhere.

Eventually I bought one brand new for around $485 & then saw a used one in pristine condition a few weeks later being offered in another shop for $375 & I was upset with myself for not waiting & looking a little bit longer.
At that time, the new ones I priced were retailing $485-$549 in the shops in York, Lancaster & Adams counties.

The current MSRP is $701.00 on a new one in stainless .357 magnum 4 in bbl (& they now have the hogue grips) but actual retail is always below MSRP, I'm just not sure how much lower.

Are you selling the holster with it? If so, that should add a few bucks to the asking price.

If I were selling it Id ask 400 but be ready to let it go for 375, holster included. Remember there are transfer fees the buyer must consider too so you cant overprice it.

Krs when you decide on a price let me know. If I can swing it maybe Ill take it off youre hands. If I were you Id keep it. Its a nice reliable gun and Ill bet once you sell its gone. Think about it before you sell it off. das

I bought mine off a guy for $300. I later traded it and regret not keeping it. I want one again.

OP, let me know when you put yours up for sale. I would give you $350 for it.

Retail on a 4" SS GP100 is $759.00 right now, best price I could find new is $535.00 locally. Throw in a holster and those grips and 400+ isn't unreasonable.
