a real UZi costs about a grand. if it's any less thanthat, it's probably a crap-quality knock-off of one.

If you have the ducats, get the micro Uzi - more collectible by far. I couldn't advise a MAC-10/45 or /9 as a pistol - waaaay clunky. An M11/9 is a tiny bit less clunky.

Aside from ghetto-blaster kewl, there are better semi pistols to be had by far.

i got plenty of carry guns i just want something i never had. a member here has a real uzi pistol for a grand. or i found blackdogweaponry.com has a mini mac 9mm for 425$ which also looks tempting. just gonna be semi for now since i dont wanna go through $$ for full auto. are they any accurate? dont gotta be pinpoint but at least hit a head sized target from 20-50 yrd?

if you're going to get a semi uzi....at least get a carbine version.....either post or pre ban that has a functional folding stock.
a strictly pistol version will get old quick.
yeah cool to look at, but than being a bullet hose not so much to shoot, after the first outting.

I have the little M11/9mm pistol. Its a good way to waste ammo. It goes bang. It's not particularly accurate. It doesn't have a good trigger. It doesn't have good ergonomics. It's not easy to conceal.
It's not very good at anything except looking dangerous.
So....why do I own one? It was given to me and I don't sell my guns.

I can tell you the full auto version will make you go from straight faced to smiling in 3/10ths of a second, which that smile will last about another 2.5 seconds until magazine runs dry.

If you have the cash get the UZI, great little gun and it will retain it's value.

    True that for a carbine.

But if it must be one of the choices you mentioned, get the Uzi:

    http://www.israeli-weapons.com/weapo...zi-Pistol.html

The post-86 semi "MACs" in one form or fashion are re-animated by one mfg or another every so many years or so, they sell a few and ultimately dry up and move on to the next mfg to try. I don't see any collectibility.

Masterpiece Arms may do a good job of folding, spot-welding, and finishing their interpretation of a "MAC", but they will never be the IMI Uzi that you have a chance to buy.

OTOH, if the day comes and you want to get a full-auto MAC-type gun, I'd say either a real Military Armament Corp gun, or an RPB gun - if you want "collectibility" and as a so-called investment.

Otherwise, the SWD-made M11/9's will be cheaper to buy and with the many options on the market are, IMHO, the better choice for regular "shootability".

If the Uzi is the one that I think it is, I've shot it. It's a good solid gun that shoots good and is fun to shoot. There is a vast difference compared to the knock offs. The Uzi is a solid, well built gun that won't lose it's value. I also know the seller and he is an upstanding fellow and I wouldn't hesitate to buy something from him.
