    Question Gun Shows&'Ammo Cans'?

I browsed a few of the old posts on gun shows and I've noticed you guys mentioning "ammo cans"? I have never been to a gun show but is it worth going for ammo? How much ammo do these cans carry&what is the usual price range? Hollows and full-metal jacket? Thank you for your attention.

Prices arent all that bad, but better can be found if you look, and usually in bulk. Most talk of the cans is just for the cans. they are metal, tough, and usually have a water tight seal.

I found a can in an antique store the other day. It was marked as 1000rds of 7.62 (to give an idea of the size). $20 - good? fair? run away?

    http://www.colemans.com/ammocan.htm

There are some avg $$ on that site. But you could do about $5 cheaper if you look. Unless it's the big 20mm cans I would not pay over $10.

Wideners sells various ammo cans, some in the $5 range: http://www.wideners.com/itemview.cfm?dir=668|827
I ordered some cans with an ammo purchase at Wideners before, I forget what grade I got but they were in typical condition (some wear, no rust)

It's nice not having to pay shipping on them though. I hope to pick some more cans up at some point, but I don't know if I'll make it to this show.

As usual, go to http://newsite.appalachianpromotions....aspx?tabid=58 and print off the bottom portion to save a dollar on admission.
