Default Anybody own a GSG 1911

    Hello,
I live in the Republic of Marylandstan where in order to buy a handgun, it has to be on an approved list. So, the gun that I am going to ask you all about is not on the list and I can't buy one in Maryland YET !!!! I am interested in a GSG 1911, it's an exact copy of a .45 caliber 1911, same size and weight, German made, but it is designed to shoot .22LR. From all the pics that I have seen, it is a very nice looking gun. Price is $370.00. I know that I could buy a real 1911 in .45 and then buy a conversion kit, but that really raises the cost....and why do that, because I want to shoot .22LR's anyway !!!! Do any of you guys own one of these pistols??? If you do or know anything about these guns, please give me the scoop !!!! THanks

I know this was posted in May, but they were just released several weeks ago. I picked up one for $320, and let me tell you they are worth it. I have tried just about every brand of ammo and not one FTF, FTE. And it is accurate. There is one thing I found out about this gun, it has a threaded barrel, so if you have a surpressor or plan on getting one this is a big plus.

Ok from one old fart to another. Steel slide, metal mag not cheap plastic. nothing special about the sights, standard fixed. But and this is a big plus, just like the Walther p22, the barrel is threaded. Take off the protector add an extension which I heard sells for like $20 and screw in your surpressor and have fun. Accuracy is not bad and it feeds everything.

Would it be asking too much if we asked for some pics? Please? I'm interested in the threaded barrel. Buying one of these would be cheaper than getting a quality threaded barrel for my MKIII. I'm looking to get on the NFA train.
