feedback for a S&W mod60-4
OK so out running around this weekend I spotted a mod60-4 in a shop. It has a 3 inch barrel 5 shot 38spc.
Anyone here have one and care to give some feedback on them? Are they nickle or stainless? it has a rear adjustable sight and black rubber grips. Seems like a nice gun.. Seems most listed are 2 inch barrel and 357mag.
I would put condition at 90-95%, any idea on a 38spc. with 3 inch full lug barrel no lock value? My bluebook puts it at $450 for 100% and 350 for the next lower value.

The number "6' in Smith and Wesson denotes a stainless gun , e.g. 686,66,610,65,64.
A model 60 made .38 special only were made probably in late 60's the new model 60 is a .357 gun in stainless.

If the timing is good, there is no endshake, the ejector rod is straight and there is no flamecutting I would buy it. Here is a video on how to inspect a smith and wesson revolver.

In my opinion, it is not a real gun unless it is a wheel gun.Join the groups protecting your rights from the fools trying to take them from you!

The 60 is stainless steel, The 3" barrel with adj sights is not too common, I would say they run in the 500 range,
They didnt start making them 357 till the late 90s.
It is a nice gun that many would like to have !
