Due to arrive 3rd or 4th quarter 2010.

I wanted to buy a .45 this year but didn't have my mind made up. I think SA just did that for me. I'm hearing it's going to remain 13+1, but if they can bring it up to something like 15+1 I'm 100% sold.

I just bought an XD 45 from Seneca Arms in December. Great gun. Shot it on Saturday. Also have the XD subcompact in 40 cal. Both performed flawlessly.

ugh you gotta be kidding me! I was just on the SA site last night praying to see that they were finally going to make one, now this!!! I do love my XD but IYO is it really worth buying if you currently own an XD? I know what features the M models have but honestly is that enough to make you/me throw my current CCW (XD) in the dust pile and get the new model!? Talk bad about it please, I dont want the wife to rape my ears about buying another gun!!!

OK, you asked for it! More than likely, it is going to be a huge, heavy pistol that will make your current XD seem tiny by comparison. That help?

Yes, it did infact. Id have to fondle it first but I do like my XD. I dont think the changes will really make me "need" to buy one. Its not like I would be buying one to go up to camp perry with, mine is just fine and dandy as far as accuracy and function are concerned.
