Need advice about a speeding ticket...
Can anyone help, I need some advice about a speeding ticket I just got. Not worried about the fine but I would like to know how to possibly get out of getting the points.
I can PM details if someone can help or can point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance!

Just fight the ticket and tell the Magistrate that you would like to have the points taken off. Depending on how many recent tickets you have, how bad your speeding offense was, your attitude and how you present yourself; the Judge should let you off pretty light.
I know a lil about a lot, but I don't know a lot about anything!

Why don't you want points?

Re: Need advice about a speeding ticket...
If it was a minor infraction you can ask the officer to plead to a lesser charge that carries the same fine, but less or no points. All they care about is the money anyway. Did this in NYS once. If you have a bad record they probably won't do it though.
If it was a local cop that timed you, you could try to go after the reliability of the method used.FUCK BIDEN

Re: Need advice about a speeding ticket...
Happened to me twice. The first time I went to court, the officer was on vacation and didn't appear. I received a short speech by the judge and everything was dropped. The second time the judge asked me if i was only there to save myself from points and I said 'yes'. She reduced the fine and dropped the points. All they want is your money.

Tell the prosecution (ideally, before the trial) that you'll plead guilty to Disobedience to Traffic Control Devices in lieu of the speeding ticket. Just a fine, no points.
