i still have yet to get my stupid w-2 forms back. they wait until the last minute to send them out......stupid corporate crap.

Good luck finding a "deal" @ Horst. I've been there maybe 5-6 times, but have never bought anything. Everything item that I've had any interest in sells for full retail and beyond. There are always "box lots" at the end of the gun auction. The box lots include stuff like ammunition (both factory & reloads), scopes, slings, reloading equipment and the like. You may find some good buys on that stuff.

I attended an ATF auction at Toomey Auction House in Hellam about 6 years ago. That auction wasn't as well-attended as any of Horst's sales. There were some excellent deals to be had there.

I will say that Horst offers good quality stuff. They must decline guns that are rusted, neglected, or abused because I've never seen them offered for sale there. And, their catalog gives honest discriptions of the guns in their sales.

I'll still go once in awhile. But I keep my expectations in check.

last auction i missed, a russian sks went for 160.......there are some deals tho few. depends on if the dealers are there and also all the amish guys....they drive the prices up, especially on the shotguns and .22s. i usually go just to get out of the house.
