Going for LTCF tomorrow.. couple questions

Hey All,

Thanks for all the great info that is on the site and forums.

Tomorrow I'm heading over to the Gov't Services building near the Library in Levittown to apply for my LTCF.

I have read the Bucks Co website concerning the application process (for a "concealed carry" license as they call it.. pfff).

Do I need to have references prepared? Addresses, phone numbers, etc.? And if I do need ref's, do they have to be non-family? I tried to search for this info, but was coming up empty. I'm a former NJ resident who went through the hassle of getting an NJFID, and am hoping this is a simpler process.

If there is anything I need to bring besides myself and my DL, please let me know!

References should be non-family, and you should supply their contact info. That's all you have to do. They say that you should bring a supplementary proof of address if your DL doesn't match your current address, other than that you should be good to go.

Here's the LTCF app. that you will be filling out. This one is not from Bucks Co., but all counties use the same form.

Yes, you'll need this information to complete the application.

Yes.

IIRC, you'll need to pay when you submit your application.

As a follow-up.. do the references need to reside in PA? All my PA ref's are family, and I just moved here in the spring, but still work in NJ.. so I don't really know anyone in PA well enough to consider a reference.

They do not need to be PA residents...however, some sheriffs disregard that and DO
require them to be PA residents and some even want them to be residents of the same county

Many sheriffs do not even contact the references.

Nope. I have never heard of Bucks Co. even contacting references, but it would still be a good idea to list people who won't freak out if they are contacted.
