Default Help - I need rings for my 10/22

I just bought an inexpensive scope for my stock 10/22.

    It's a Simmons 4x32 like this:

It didn't come with rings and now I need some advice.
I look on Midway's website and see 4 different heights in the 1" Weaver rings category.

How do I know which height I will need?
    Can rings "cowitness" the irons?
Will an inexpensive set be complete garbage, as the .22lr isn't going to beat them up with recoil?

This is just an example of a "low" set of rings.
Would this be fine for my purposes?

I bought the rings for my 10/22 at Walmart. Go cheap unless you plan on using it for competitive shooting.

Being able to still use the irons is more about finding either a rail that bolts to the reciever and has a groove there specifically for the purpose, or a set of rings that bolts directly to the receiver and holds the scope a hair high.

The stock rail wont work for your purposes no matter what.

That is what I have used as well. Sometimes they are called wide veiw or over under mounts.

I think I bought mine at Wally world.

You show Weaver style rings, but what you want are the .22 dovetail type. As mentioned above Wally World sells these cheaply. Just look for .22 dovetail compatible, low may work, but you might prefer med. height your scope has a 32 mm objective bell, the rings may mention what bell sizes they can generally support.
You would be safe with .22 dovetail rings in a med height for a 1" scope. No need to go to a gun shop unless you want the security of professional advice, if not Wal-Mart is quick and cheep.

Agreed. I just mounted my Simmons 3-9x x 32 on a Medium DNZ game reaper. It fit well.Cleared the rear sight by about 3/16".

If it doesn't hold zero this time, I'm either going Leupold or Nikon.
