Default can't decide for next handgun

i have a few pistols to fill various rolls but i think i need something next on the rediculous side, i need a hi capacity, atleast 30 rounds pistol. i've narrowed it down to these 3:
AR pistol, i already have plenty of mags for
G17, i already have 2 33rd mags for (planned to get the conversion barrell for my 27 but read i also need to change the extractor)
or an AK pistol, i don't have an ak to share parts but this could be the problem. throw out some suggestions and why. thanks!

I just bought a lone wolf 40-9 conversion barrel for my G27. I did not change the extractor. I've fired 300 rounds through it so far with no issues (using a 33 rnd 9mm mag). The only time I had a problem was when I used a .40 Magazine for the 9s. It fed with about 80% reliability then. With the 9mm 33 round mag I've had no problems.

My next gun.. not really ridiculous, but fun. I'm a revolver guy, and can't wait to get my hands on a SW 610 w/ 4" barrel. 10mm / .40 SW revolver.

G17 because you can use it as a carry gun, but still have fun with the 33 rnd magazines.

    Kel Tec PLR?

Seems to fit your criteria for "ridiculousness".
Uses 30 rd AR mags, (I also saw a photo of one with a 100 rd beta mag in it ), emits massive balls of fire from the muzzle, and doesn't have the retarded buffer tube sticking out the back like an AR pistol.

They also make one in .22LR now.
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

wow i haven't seen the keltec with a rail before, it looks really nice. i've only seen it with the exposed barrel and that was ugly. i think i'll order the LWD barrel and try it on my 27 before i go telling myself i need another glock.
hmm the Draco pistol is $489 (a bit cheaper online but i like to support the locals sometimes) shoots a bad ass round and i don't own an ak as of yet.
the AR gives me the ability to use my .22lr kit, i actually like the buffer tube to use as a cheek rest and i would custom build it myself but the price is way higher and resale value if i ever needed would be low. decisions decisions.

If you're asking, that means you don't have a Glock 17?
Add one to your collection as first choice.

The Draco? Maximum cool for looks but maximum suck for attempting to hold this at arms length and shoot for any form of accuracy. A stock on the Draco would help that 10,000% but then it would be a short barreled rifle and not a pistol anymore. (And of course you filed all the Class III paperwork so as to do that legally so you don't go to jail.)

Colt AR pistol? Again maximum cool but...
If you want an AR pistol, try the Keltec first. It isn't that expensive as compared to the AR type pistol. The cover you referred to? It is my understanding that Keltec sells the PLR16 without the cover so as to be able to stay under 50 ounces. If you add the cover, it is different because you, the gun owner, are modifying their gun not Keltec. That means the Keltec could continue to make and sell them if the AWB were to come back. The rails are for lights.
Do not add a forward grip to that pistol. Class III violation.
Some more info at another forum.....

    All below is from:
    http://www.thefirearmsforum.com/arch...p?t-35080.html

Below is wording from the AWB that is no longer in effect.

Semi-automatic pistols with detachable magazines and two or more of the following:

Magazine that attaches outside the pistol grip
Threaded barrel to attach barrel extender, flash suppressor, handgrip, or silencer
Barrel shroud that can be used as a hand-hold
Unloaded weight of 50 oz or more
A semi-automatic version of an automatic firearm

    None of the above!

How about a Thompson Center Encore pistol in... .460 S&W Magnum, .44 Mag, .223, .45-70, .25 WSSM, .480 Ruger etc...

They are tack drivers, you can hunt with them (small game with a .410 barrel is bad ass, deer with bigger and everything in between) and nothing says "badass" then a single shot pistolero that can hit what he aims at.

Question Re: can't decide for next handgun

No offense, but what niche will an AR pistol fill in your collection? I don't see them as practical at all aside from the "wow" factor.

Hmm I guess it will fill my rediculous niche. I have my ccw g27 or colt 1911, for hunting if I ever get The license I have my s&w 629 pc, I have an ar rifle next to my bed and a ruger mk3 22/45 for target. I haven't been shooting much lately and I'm shopping out of boredom.

The only place to shop...........The Ferrari of combat handguns

    http://www.hk-usa.com/civilian_products/pistols.asp

I believe 30 rnd mags are available for the 9mm USP line, and maybe even the P2000 / P30 pistols.

    Happy shopping!
