Ok, it's a little bit confusing to navigate so first you go here.
    http://www.legis.state.wv.us/WVCODE/61/masterfrmFrm.htm

Next you want to look on the left side of the page.

The firearms chapter starts at WVC 61 - 7 - 4 so just start there and keep going down if ya want to read everything.

Here's a link to Google's cache of packing-dot-org's WV Gun Law page (slow to load):
Tip: Just scroll down the page to see complete text. Clicking on links at top of page does not work because this is a cached copy.

(1). We don't have the same standards as we don't have a training requirement, which appears to no longer be a sticking point for WV on reciprocity with PA. That's great!

(2). We can do this no problem, in fact, we've been able to do this for quite some time. And that really does make sense from a practical point of view. Without getting into the debate that there should be no permit and no need for reciprocity, I would think that as things are now, the fact that PA already has this up and running (and has had it) is a great asset in discussions with other states about reciprocity.

(3). Since we've entered into reciprocity agreements similar to this one, it should have been a no-brainer.

(4). This one is always tough with any reciprocity agreement as a change to either of the states' processes could call the agreement into question. For instance, if PA were to somehow go miraculously to Vermont-Style carry law, that might convince WV and other states to consider dropping reciprocity (even though it shouldn't make a difference in all reality). Or, for another speculative example, if WV (or another state) changes their requirements to be more demanding, if PA (or whatever state with reciprocity) does not follow suit, a discussion would need to take place to ensure reciprocity remains even though we don't have the exact same standards. It seems as though, at least with West Virginia, this may not materialize into a problem since we're apparently getting reciprocity now while our standards do not match. Kudos to WVCDL, PSA, FOAC/ACSL, the respective AG's and anyone else involved for getting this done without impacting our rights here in PA.
if PA were to somehow go miraculously to Vermont-Style carry law - It won’t be a miracle; it will be the same groups of people tireless efforts behind the scenes. Still this is in the works, lots of other pro gun things are in the works as well, and it’s only for the lack of other gun owner’s direct involvement in the process that more could not be accomplished by these small under funded volunteer groups of activist

What I always found amazing is these small dedicated groups of indidivuals can get so much done, and the big name organizations, that don’t ever "seem" to really do anything to help out with the process, except take credit for everyone else’s hard work.

Also with all this talk about West Virginia conclead carry agreement, we can also add Arkansas to the list of states that recognized PA permits, just have to wait for PA to make it official on its web site - already listed on Arkansas web site now - bottom of page pull down menu.

This is good news. One thing I didn't see as I briefly skimmed the laws was anything about traffic stops. Are we obligated by WV law to inform a LEO during a stop that we are carrying? Or does a policy similar to PA's "don't show unless asked" exist in WV?

You do not have to notify the officer, however, you must produce the License if asked by a Law Enforcement Officer.

In WV you must also carry your Drivers License or State photo ID along with your Concealed Carry License when carrying a firearm concealed.

From §61-7-4. License to carry deadly weapons; how obtained, section (n):

    (n) All licensees must carry with them a state-issued photo identification card with the concealed weapons license whenever the licensee is carrying a concealed weapon. Any licensee who fails to have in his or her possession a state-issued photo identification card and a current concealed weapons license while carrying a concealed weapon shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not less than fifty or more than two hundred dollars for each offense.

Exclamation Re: WV Concealed Carry Reciprocity Expands to Pennsylvania

    Great news indeed!

Here's the email I received from the NRA-ILA:

West Virginia Enters Into Reciprocity Agreement with Pennsylvania!

West Virginia Attorney General Darrel McGraw (D) announced on Saturday, August 18 that West Virginia has entered into a concealed handgun reciprocity agreement with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

West Virginia and Pennsylvania residents, age 21 or older, holding a valid permit in their home state, may carry in each state. Remember, you must be in possession of your permit when traveling in a reciprocating state and are bound by the laws of that state pertaining to concealed firearms.

For more information on West Virginia’s Right-to-Carry reciprocity agreements, please visit http://www.wvago.gov/gunrecep.cfm.
The only gun control I believe in is using two hands.

Any other WV laws we need to be aware of? Like carrying while in bars or restaurants that serve alcohol? I didn't see anything in the WV law, but then again I was skimming pretty quick...
