    Default federal primers

    i bought some federal primers and they are 205 small rifle primers what is the biggest cartridge that these will fit into

    They'll fit into the largest cartridge that uses small rifle primers. You can find that information in any reloading manual... Was that your question or did I misunderstand you?

    Are you trying to use them in something other than a small rifle cartridge???

    There really aren't many rifle calibers that use small rifle primers... but .223/5.56 do, which makes it a hard to come by primer... Anywho, the largest round I can think of is the 7.62x39, but they even sometimes use large rifle.

    "What we have here is a failure to communicate.". The small refers to the primer itself, not the size of the rifle or cartridge.
