Steelers Player has CCW Revoked
http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/10021/1030033-100.stm
[His permit] was revoked because of several confrontations with police, none of which led to criminal charges.
I would be interested to see commentary on this.

18Pa.C.S.§6109(i)
Revocation. -- A license to carry firearms may be revoked by the issuing authority for good cause. A license to carry firearms shall be revoked by the issuing authority for any reason stated in subsection (e)(1) which occurs during the term of the permit
18Pa.C.S.§6109(e)(1)(i) (mentioned above in (i)
(i)An individual whose character and reputation is such that the individual would be likely to act in a manner dangerous to public safety.Last edited by Pa. Patriot; January 22nd, 2010 at 02:14 PM.

Re: Steelers Player has CCW Revoked
"However, Mr. Stuvaints, 29, of White Oak, did not show up, and Judge Mariani affirmed the sheriff's decision."Guess it wasn't that important to him.
Yup. That'll do it.
To the OP, here in PA it's a License, not a permit. We won't hold it against you since you're from Ohio
Interestingly enough, the news article gets it correct, calling it a "license to carry a firearm". Which is unusual for the media. But then they also call it a "license to carry a concealed firearm", which isn't quite correct. The right to bear arms isn't for hunting bear. Subliminal Messages

I read the story and wondered why it even made the news.

Does the confidentiality section go out the window when a LTCF is revoked?

Re: Steelers Player has CCW Revoked
Many thanks for the informative responses.
My main concern or puzzlement stems from the fact that revocation of a license is so subjective. Now granted, you may get your day in court to appeal, but you have to prove your innocence at that point, not the other way around. As someone else pointed out, it clearly wasn't that important to the individual in question.
