Steel Challenge

Steel Challenge match at Heidelberg Sportsmens Association in Schaefferstown, PA, Saturday February 20. Please note - this is NOT a sanctioned Steel Challenge match. However, we will be shooting official Steel Challenge stages and the match will be governed by Steel Challenge rules.

We will be shooting 5 stages. Bring plenty of ammunition. The MINIMUM round count is 125 rounds. This is with NO misses (that never happens). I personally bring 300 rounds just to be extra safe.

Please bring enough magazines to have enough ammo to shoot 5 strings when you come to the line. It may be cold and this will help to keep things moving. You'll need at least 25 rounds on your person when you come to the line to shoot (again this is with no misses which is extremely rare so having more than 25 rounds combined loaded in your magazines would be helpful).

The following divisions will be open for entry:

Limited - Any centerfire pistol allowed in USPSA limited division. Basically, it must be 9mm or larger in caliber and be iron sighted. Ports/compensators and optics NOT allowed.

Open - Anything goes. Ports/comps/optics etc.

Iron sight rimfire - .22LR pistols. No optics.

Open rimfire - Same as open, just with .22LR. Optics/comps allowed.

Revolver - Iron sight revolvers with no comps.

Open revolver - Anything goes wheelgun division. Comps/optics allowed.

Shooters may shoot in more than one division. $10 per gun. I'll be shooting limited and open rimfire in February.


Registration opens at 8:30AM. Mandatory shooter's safety meeting at 9:45AM. Shooting begins at 10AM.

Dave, is the match still on? I'd understand if the recent snowfall has forced a cancellation.
