Re: Local Gun/Cash Bash???
Seems like a lot of them will be in the summer. ACRC has theirs at the Ross Community Center in the North Hills, but I believe it's in July. I'll post the details when it gets closer.

Re: Local Gun/Cash Bash???
Wow, I honestly have no idea if it's gun free or not... never noticed the signs. Sorry.
Now you've got me wondering, but I'd be surprised if there's any rules against carrying. The local PD is pretty friendly with the club (many are members) and no one has a problem with the bash being there. I CC all the time there but I guess I could've been doing that against the rules if they're posted somewhere.
ACRC's gun bash is July 24, BTW.

I'm going to assume ACRC is short for Allegheny County Rifle Club?. If so, I'm not a member but I'm interested in checking them out. Are their gun bashes open to the public?

Re: Local Gun/Cash Bash???
You are correct... Allegheny Country Rifle Club. The bashes are open to the public. The guys at High Tech Hand Guns on Perry Highway usually have tickets on hand for walk-in traffic. I mention them only because that's where I first learned of the club but I'm sure tickets will be available other places as well (not an endorsement or anything).

Re: Local Gun/Cash Bash???
I just found this regarding firearms at the community center. I going to scratch around a little more to see if this is the official policy. I'm hesitant to call because I don't want opinion, I want fact. There are no signs anywhere at the center that reflects the policy stated here. Take a look at page 2 under the "Role Model & Safety Policy" 4th box down.

I going to go up and read the "Rules" posted on the sign at the beginning of the drive in a little bit and see whats there. I'll let you know what I find....Last edited by K.C.; April 24th, 2011 at 12:45 PM.

Re: Local Gun/Cash Bash???
Interesting. It does say "around the programs" versus a blanket statement about the property. Leads me to believe they man only around sponsored rec center programs. Thanks for the follow-up... I'm sure all us North Hills types will appreciate the leg work.
I also found out yesterday that the ACRC gun bash tickets typically don't sell out so you should have no problem getting one this summer.
