CC'ing in the Franklin Institute
Hey guys i just wanted to know about the Franklin Institute. I had to chaperon a class trip within the next few weeks. I have no idea if they have metals detectors or anything. Do any of yall know. thanx in advance

Last time I was there was last summer, no metal detectors at that time.

What's the transporation method for the class trip and where will you be joining the trip?
If the conveyance leaves from the school or returns to the school, possession of a weapon on the conveyance would run afoul of 18 Pa CSA 912(b).IANAL

I was there a few months ago and saw neither metal detectors nor signage.

Yep you never know when shits going to break out inside the Franklin Institute.
Better safe then sorry,I just have that feeling the day I don't carry Is the day I will need it.

Although that part of the city (Museum District) is one of the nicer areas, I think the concern would be more going from and getting back to your car, if you were to leave your gun locked inside, than the institute itself.
As for better safe than sorry, damn right, plenty of examples of so called safe areas becoming killing zones.
