Glock and their horrible website
Glocks, you either love them or hate them. However, there is no doubt that they are a large company with significant financial resources. Understanding this fact, why does their web site suck so badly. Do they not have the internet in Austria? Despite saying copyright 2009 on the main page it hasn’t changed in years. There is a picture link to the Gen 4 which takes you to a catalog that has no updated info at all. It doesn’t even talk about RTF which came out a year ago at SHOT 2009. I LOVE Glocks. I have several. But their website is ridiculous. The only thing that might be slightly more ridiculous is HK and how they tend to seem to snub the US civilian market.
Just a thought while I sit with a 102 fever. The only easy day was yesterday
Does anyone know the number for 9-1-1?

Re: Glock and their horrible website
They probably have no need for a jazzy website since most of their sales are law enforcement (who could care less about how snazzy the website is, they just want easy navigation).
And, I prefer a simple website as well...flash player and other add-ons just get in the way. Great for movies and video games, sucks for firearms sites.Well, pushed 60 too hard so now I am the big SIX-OH. Now I can be a real pain in the ass! And, who says growin' old isn't fun!!

Re: Glock and their horrible website
Is it hard for smaller monitors to display? Then it's spot on with the product line.
I found both triggers to be terrible to me so the triggers are on a scale to me.. The Glock was a crisper suck and the XD was a more mushy suck. They are in the same family, SR9 (heavy suck), Glock (crisp heavy suck), XD( lighter mushy suck), M&P(heavy mushy suck).

Jazzy websites are at least more useful than websites with little or no information on them.
I agree there website leaves more than just a little to be desired.

Re: Glock and their horrible website
i dont reall care about fancy. But leaving out details from your product line for at least 2 years is kind of a waste.
They omitt RTF, Gen 4, and SF.
Rtf was mostly cosmetic but SF has been around for quite a while and ther is no mention of it at all.The only easy day was yesterday

Re: Glock and their horrible website
I know I will get 10 replies or better to the contrary.
But I find most Euro websites lacking(perhaps England is the exception) I know our company has a horrible,,,A 12yr old with youtube experience could have done better,,,,website. Our American customers complain all the time.
But it does have a in/un tended result. Makes customers call and ask for sales people to show up. So it's a different way of looking at a similiar problem.
It's been that way for 4 years. We tell the President of US operations and he kinda shrugs, like "dude I got more important schtuff to worry about".
Still seems ass-backwards to me. It goes further we log and record all our info online here. There its done in reports and printouts. Go figure.
Hey,,,,you made me talk about work. MUST DRINK BEER NOWCareful some of those Zombies could be Americans!

Re: Glock and their horrible website
THe Glock website is just straight forward awful and hasnt been updated in years, Springfield armory is pretty much useless, next to Colt with its awful muddy dark pistures in this day and age.
Smith & Wesson, Taurus and CZ i believe has the best websites.
