I've read what fine print I can find and there's nothing stating when the firearm had to be purchased, just when the rebate offer ends. Maybe people can slip in and get a rebate on the gun they bought a few years ago before SIG notices.

Quick dig up your old receipts.... you do keep them, don't you?
Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.

I keep all mine, and I'm sure he keeps his, I sent him a message about the rebate so maybe he'll get it.

I bought the 556's little brother, the 522, a month ago with plans on one day picking up a 556 as well. I wasn't planning on doing this anytime soon, but this offer is pretty enticing. Sig should have just made the deal $300 credit on their store since I'd probably spend it on mags and accessories anyway, and it would have saved on both ends with time and stamps for the rebate.

I have a birthday coming up before that deadline, so maybe I'll be using this offer in the near future. Does anyone know how well these guns hold value on the used market? Maybe it would still be cheaper to buy a used one already with accessories.
